A replacement starts with clear choices.

Look at the material, understand the scope, then explore how the project takes shape. This fictional example brings those decisions together before the estimate.

Explore a sample estimate
Generated example of a charcoal shingle roof and gutter on a fictional home

Two materials to explore.

Asphalt shingles

A familiar layered appearance, illustrated in the gable image above. Select shingles in the sample calculator to see the invented $6 per square foot base rate and how the other assumptions affect the range.

Standing-seam metal

A continuous panel appearance with raised seams. The sample calculator uses an invented $10 per square foot base rate. This illustrates a different input, not a market-price comparison or a claim about product lifespan.

Know what shapes the scope.

Roof surface area, the number of changes in the roof shape, and existing layers all influence the sample calculation. A real project would also require an inspection, material specification, and a written scope.

What the example includes

Choose a material, sample roof area, complexity, and layers to remove. See the formula, the fictional range, and a summary you can reset.

What it cannot tell you

It cannot inspect hidden damage or resolve structural work, taxes, permits, or site conditions. The illustration is not a quote, offer, warranty, or promise of availability.
